The torture stuff gives me pause, but I remain rather calm about destruction scenarios for the human race. After all, the sun will one day burn out and it seems that the death of this planet is inevitable, so whether we invent a way to make it happen in the coming decades or whether the human species naturally reaches its expiry eons from now won't matter to anyone -- once they're gone. Would be nice to have a front row seat to see how human life plays out, though. What gives me solace is an old epitaph found on a tombstone: What is it like to be dead? Same as before you were born and for just as long.

Yes, I agree those disgusting, nasty and horrifying technologies must be banned. The spies use those mostly, and must be banned as well.
