It never ceases to amaze me how persistent the myth is that there is a language called "sign language". 70 million signers? Yes, but there's around 300 or so different languages there, and I'm betting they haven't coded them all in....
It seems great.
Ive heard that sign language has grammar which isn't like the spoken language in the country, and of course what Cainntear said that there are very many sign languages. but it's great that they have made this, then they can make it for more sign languages.
I regret that I don't know sign language. I'd like to learn one, I suppose the local one.
