I've seen lots of "visitors" in the process of registering here, but the next day there are no new members. This has several happened several times. I can't imagine everybody changed their minds, but I guess it's possible. Did you guys have any trouble registering?

Nope. Could it be the robots who are attempting to register? I'm completely ignorant about many things, in particular forum software, so that may be an incredibly idiotic question....if so, sorry.

No, robots are tracked as robots. At one point I saw 4 "guests" in "member registration". I assume this means they were beginning the registration process, but I'm not sure. This has happened several times, so I thought it was odd. Glad to hear registration wasn't a problem for you guys though.

In another forum which I happen to moderate the number of applications from robots is way higher than the number of seemingly genuine applications. So far they are easy to spot, but they may become indistinguishable from real applications in the future.

It's possible that the software can't tell the difference between robots and guests sometimes, and the robots get stopped by the encaptcha or something, I suppose.
