Same thing. Originally made by Topics Entertainment. I have the old cassette version for German. It is decent comprehensible input for a beginner, and uses a build up from words to sentences. As always, it would be nice if such course authors provided two files for each segment, one all L2 for after one has learned it fairly well. Segments are situational based, as in going to the dry cleaners etc. I don't know where they got the "levels". Originally it just had 10 double sided cassettes with 1/2 hour each side. US$29.95 is not a bad price, but one can probably get a lot of the same content free from the Book2 folks ($10 for a transcript though). Bottom line: a repackaging of an older course.

    Thanks.
I have some Instant Immersion courses bought from Audible. And I like the way this courses are made.
It seems that you can choose between a software version or a audio version.
Anyway with 120 languages to choose from, it's a source for more exotic languages.
I have wanderlust these days :D

Thanks, I see that now. Originally they only had the ones under "most popular" I think. So they must have added those languages using the same format. However, it appears only the original major langs have just the audio available for download, and the newer ones are software only, which they compare to Rosetta Stone. Which means despite being cheaper they have a limited product grammar and vocabulary-wise.

I think perhaps they have licensed the new languages from Eurotalk. Same pictures on the Instant Immersion demo video as on Eurotalk website. ;)

Edit: I think all software versions is licensed from Eurotalk

What are the Eurotalk courses like? Anyone tried them? (I can't even use the free sample as it's Flash, and I'm stuck on an iPad until I get a new power supply for my laptop.

Edit: Oh wait, no... They're the TalkNow! people, aren't they? <shudder> That stuff's utter rubbish. Assuming level one is TalKNow, their prices are ridiculous. The content in the TalKNow courses is roughly on a par with a €5 phrase book, IMHO. Rip-off.
